Hey, I’m Ruth, but I go by LunaRue.

I’m a 20-year-old artist from India. I grew up between the beauty of Assam and the hills of Manipur, and now I’m living in Delhi.

My love for music started in 2nd grade when I got an A+ in a singing competition. That made me feel like I could be the next Arijit Singh, but the female version (yes, I was basically born with a playlist in my head🤭), and by 14, I was already writing my own songs. Music isn’t just a passion for me.

It’s my therapy, my escape, and a place where I can turn my random thoughts into real life melodies. I was so into music, I’d even sing out my notes while studying. And guess what? That helped me remember all the questions and answers! 

I play the guitar and ukulele, and I’m all about making music that doesn’t fit into just one genre. My songs come from my imagination, real-life experiences, and sometimes completely made up stories because who needs reality, right? I create these songs hoping that someone, somewhere out there will hear them and think, “Wow, that’s totally me,” or at least, “This is the soundtrack to my next existential crisis.”
I want my music to be the kind you listen to late at night with your headphones in, when you’re in your feels and just need that vibe. Songs that make you feel like you’re in the story, living it and maybe even wondering why you didn’t write it yourself.
